Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Course & Exam

Description

The Certified Pool Operator (CPO) course, developed by the National Swimming Pool Foundation and unified under the new Pool and Hot Tub Alliance, has a lineup of qualified instructors. They represent the best available knowledge with the ability to instruct people on how to maintain public pools and spas. The course is two days, February 25th & 26th, with a review and the examination happening on the 3rd day, February 27th. The exam is given at the completion of the course. Graduates will receive a certificate, suitable for framing, and a wallet card issued by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance. (Formally NSPF)

Deadline to register is 12:00pm on Friday, February 20th. Coursebook mailing deadline is February 12th.

DISCLAIMER - Registrations that come in after the mailing deadline of February 12th will need to either pick up the course book in-person from Trail Winds Recreation Center ahead of time or pick it up on the 1st day of the course.

Renewal Option:

This option is available those with a CURRENT CPO certification. Please email a copy of the current CPO certification for validation to Kris Davison at krisd7819@gmail.com.

The student will be enrolled into the Pool Operator Primer & Exam option and will be required to complete the CPO Primer consisting of an online course (8 lessons over the 18 chapters) to be completed prior to the last day of the CPO in person course (February 26th). The student will receive a Certificate of Completion at the successful completion of the Online Primer course, and will be required to present this in person along with a Photo ID at the CPO Review and Exam on Friday, February 27th at 8:00am at the Trail Winds Recreation Center (13495 Holly St., Thornton, CO 80602).

NOTE: **Student must receive a copy of the most recent PHTA Pool & Spa Operator Handbook. The eBook does not replace the hard copy handbook and should only be used as an additional resource guide until the student’s hard copy book is received.**

Wednesday, February 25th: 8:00am-5:00pm - (Check in begins at 8:00am); Lunch will be sponsored by CEM Sales & Service

Thursday, February 26th: 8:00am-5:00pm; Lunch provided

Friday, February 27th: 8:00am-2:00pm - Includes course review and written test
